Lake Winds is a concert band located in northern Lake County, Florida.

Our musicians are 9-18 year olds that are either home schooled or attending a private school that does not offer a music program.

Our accomplished band director, Wes Locke, provides the opportunity to experience the joy of making music and becoming musicians.

Lake Winds is a community band program designed to reach children from 9 years old and up. We will have two classes in the fall of 2010.

Beginning Band is for anyone who has never played a band instrument before. No experience is necessary! You don`t even need to know how to read music. You will learn it all.

Advanced Band is for students who can read music and have played an instrument.

We teach Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Baritone, Trombone, and Percussion.

We meet once a week at Liberty Christian Academy in Tavares, Fl.
